Adrenal Preceptorship
October 16-17, 2024 InterContinental Hotel & Conference Center, Cleveland, Ohio
The Adrenal Preceptorship under the direction of Drs. Ricardo Correa and Irina Bancos is an interactive educational program designed to educate fellows on adrenal physiology and abnormalities of the adrenal gland, to date an underrepresented educational area. The Adrenal Preceptorship will provide a special environment to update fellows on this area and to create a network among peers and faculty to increase adrenal research.
Program Format:
The agenda will include expert faculty didactic lectures and case discussion, small group discussion sessions facilitated by faculty mentors, poster session, and ample time for faculty and fellow networking during meals and breaks.
Program Objectives:
- Increase awareness of adrenal disease
- Increase knowledge on new diagnosis and management of adrenal conditions
- Teach disturbance of the adrenal cortex and medulla
- Create an environment to increase interest in adrenal conditions
- Promote networking among fellows that are interest in similar topics
- Establish relationship between faculty and fellows for future collaborations
- Incentivize the research in adrenal glands
Faculty:
The faculty’s expertise extends to all facets of the adrenal field. Faculty lectures will include all adrenal pathology including cortex and medulla. This includes adrenal cell biology, adrenal physiology, adrenal pathology, common and rare adrenal problems, diagnosis, and management of adrenal disease.

Eligibility:Endocrinology fellowship program directors are invited to identify fellows from their programs who meet the criteria and whose education would be enhanced by participating in this Adrenal Preceptorship. Applicants can be a first, second or third-year endocrine fellow or a current year graduate who has an interest in learning more about adrenal conditions. The applicant must be in an accredited US-based, relevant specialty training program. Priority will be given to fellows who submit an abstract for poster presentation.
Selected fellows will be notified by the end of July and those living outside the Cleveland area will receive travel support and 2 nights hotel lodging at the program hotel.
